Re: [RC] Shoes for the Rider - heidi larsonI also ride in the Mtn. Horse High Riders and LOVE them. My only complaint is that they don't come in half sizes and a 9 is really a bit too big for me. I wear heavier socks but in the heat it would be nice to not have to do this. I'm in the minority in that Ariat's KILL my feet. I've tried different styles, the latest being the Springbok and I could barely walk at a vet check at about 35 miles. I can walk in them around town, work, etc. but not in the saddle/stirrups. Not sure why this is for me, weird foot maybe. My last pair of Mtn. Horse boots lasted nearly 4 years and they'll get me through the next few rides until I can find a deal and replace them. Ebay seems to be my best bet. In winter I wear the Muck Boot Brit Rider and they are the best as well! heidi larson and Kalasha --- k s swigart <katswig@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: I am almost definitely in the minority here; however, _I_ ride endurance in tall boots, and now that I have discovered them; I wouldn't trade them for anything else. The ones I ride in are made by Mountain Horse (although they run to wide both in foot and in calf, so if that doesn't meet the description of your feet they may not be for you). They have full zip down the back so they are easy to get on an off, and they have a gel insole (which you can change if you want to). ____________________________________________________________________________________ Sucker-punch spam with award-winning protection.
