[RC] hauling after multi-days - Charles & Mary Coleman
Lynn, I hate posting ridecamp but since you asked.
I prefer to arrive at least a day ahead of time if we travel more than 8 hours
as it gives the horse more time to re-hydrate. As far as coming home Hawk did
100 miles last weekend (2 days) finished 4:30p.m. at 2:00a.m. we drove back to
Pa. around 18 hours. I drop the window down and feed and water him every time we
fill up. Once you start multi-days you will find out your horse gets stronger as
the days go by and pulses faster too. With the price of fuel I prefer to ride as
many days as they offer and I can! Morgan Power Mary
