Re: [Norton AntiSpam] RE: [RC] euthanization - Truman PrevattI'm not a big fan of "pats on the back" unless deserved. However, you raised some very valid points we all need to consider. We can't depend on someone stepping forward to take care of our beloved animals - we need to plan and we need to plan for their life time. If they are young it should be easy - they can be sold. If they are 25 years old it should be easy - they won't live that much longer. However, if they are 15 - that's a different matter. This is something we who own horses should all consider. This is a question that has had my wife and I considering quite a bit lately. Truman PS: I the real solution is probably marry much younger than yourself, however, I have been told that I would be first "taken to the cleaners, then drawn and quartered". Hummmmmm......... maybe good estate planning is a better option. Mcgann, Barbara wrote: Truman, thank you for the kind words. Actually, though, I was not looking for a pat on the back...rather,I was looking for a formula or other folk's experience and guidance to answer the question: how much money would it take to provide what level of care for how long - what is reasonable??? -- “Since when have we Americans been expected to bow submissively to authority and speak with awe and reverence to those who represent us?” Justice William O.
