Re: [RC] [RC] euthanization - Teri HunterI asked a very good friend who lives in Texas if she would take care of my horses if something ever happens to me. They live on 100 acres in the east (piney woods) and are well to. She asked me to start a trust fund for their care. At first I was a little set back this coming from a horse lover but at the same time I totally understand. That is so much harder than it appears, it is worth contacting those people and really going over it with them, detail by detail. You also need to update that designation every few years as people's situations change. Do you have a Trust or a Will completed? What happens to your horses (or other animals) then? " My husband and I recently sat down with our attorney to draft our will... yes, we should have done it years ago, but hadn't gotten to it. :S Anyway, after we had taken care of the children and farm assets, I told him Iwantedmy horses provided for as well. I had already located two people with the finances and facilities to take them in. The attorney looked at me like I was nuts, but he did as I asked. It only takes a few minutes to make sure your horses will be safe no matter what happens to you.
