Re: [RC] Another Freeform story!-Just the facts 'maam! - Lynne GlazerRanelle, I love your enthusiasm. It is so gratifying when a horse is able to travel without pain and the rider is comfortable as well. A horse who has "ALWAYS thrown her head under saddle" was never happy, eh? Rider responsibility is the flaw here, don't you think? She should have been on the Great Saddle Hunt long before now. It's nice that she had purchased a pricy saddle, thinking that it had to be the answer--but that's no panacea. No doubt, you know how "any change" will often make a horse happy. The key is whether or not it still works for them 6 months from now. With any saddle the key is getting the rider to check to see if it still fits--and especially if it's a traditional English saddle, rider inattention can surely lead to disaster, and any replacement that doesn't trigger those sensitive points is at least temporarily or ideally even long term wonderful. That saddle might have worked just fine if it was restuffed, if it was fit correctly in the first place from the tree and angles standpoint. Hope to see you in the jacuzzi next year at convention, or better yet, at a ride... regards, Lynne (Great Saddle Hunt trail meant 5 saddles for my horse) On Mar 10, 2007, at 8:35 AM, Ranelle Rubin wrote: Yesterday, I took a friend out on my demo Freeform saddle.
