I don’t think you need to worry about trying something
new on a 25 miler, whether it’s a sanctioned ride or a conditioning ride.
Just remember to take up your stirrups a bit after adding the stirrup-straight
(or whatever it’s called). Also, might want to try the compression shorts
for more support. And, I too have recently seen men’s undiesalongside the trail. I think they
were from runners though, not riders. I think the problem was not enough TP in
the area, so they used their shorts? You do what you have to do! I’d
recommend at least making an effort to put them out of sight of passers-by
though…
