RE: [RC] my husband and his big rig - Mike LewisNot bad. I believe this lady bought her truck for about $40k... maybe 2/3 of its life cycle remaining. New pickups cost more than that! I heard that some F-550s sticker for more than $80,000. Before spending that kind of money on a pickup, I'd make up my mind that it was time to bail out of pickups and into a truck that'll do the job better. $40k for a truck that'll last 20 years, won't strain on hills, and probably won't have many service issues... heheheheheh... Sounds nice. Mike --- Jannelle Wilde & Adam Falk <mfarm@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Well, sure, if you want to spend $60K on a rig. We spent $11K on our rig and about $3500 chopping off on of the axels and then $1200 or so making a flatbed for it. For us it was the least expensive way to get the power and a place to sleep inside. JannelleMy rant re: the semi aside... something like a medium-duty "semi"mightnot be bad. There's a lady who drives a Freightliner FL70, if Irecallcorrectly, all over the country. Small enough to get under mostlimbs...powerful enough to pull a big LQ trailer. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
