[RC] 30 minutes will not work/Finish - SteveI say vote No ! Things worked fine before. the hour gave the horse rest and time to dehydrate. I could list all the reasons why but I won't bother just ask the Old School Endurance riders you may have a horse that's fit, and can get a quick 60 pulse but he's not necessary able to go on I've seen many horse pulse go up after a past a hour and stay there for two and a lot of Colic's due to over feeding at the end of the ride. So does this mean the rider can load the horse up quicker and leave? Many good Vets stay the night with the ones that make fun out of this neat sport and many vets have treated horses in the night. I see we would have to walk across the RACE Finish line. Being a Ultra Marathoner I've had several over heat and pulse issues with myself after I laid my self to rest in the bed after a event, pretty much what I'd expect to happen after stressing the body a bit, this is why I like to watch my horse a few days after the ride. its just good practice Worth 2Cents, Steve E Vets in our area have asked to see the horse near the end of the holds to better evaluate fitness to continue--it seems to me the completion should be the same way. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
