I'll be curious as to whether quite a few of them do their research watching Hidalgo, Bite the Bullet, The Black Stallion Returns and "Virginia's Run". According to those movies, all long distance races involve lots of pushing each other off your horses at a dead gallop. I've watched these movies and it just fascinates me that everyone is constantly pushing each other off their horses. Just in case, they might ought to have drag riders to pick up the people who are on foot and some fast riders available to chase down the loose ones. >g< I wonder where we got the idea to always stop and help each other the way we do? That's not going to get us a feature movie any time soon so maybe we should stop that?
