Re: [RC] [RC] highest mileage horse/Trilby - Maryben StoverThe State of California realized their errors and dropped the whole matter. It was a total witch hunt and very personal by two of the AERC board members at the time. It was totally not fair and Trilby would have won any lawsuit but she chose not to do it. I tried to talk her into it, as did her attorney, but to no avail. Too bad, cause Lad did do all those miles and deserved them. If you ever see the video that the Arab Association shows at the convention sometimes, you will see a pretty grey arab cutting cattle....that is Lad. He was not for sale because he was the personal mount of the head of Rushcreek but Courtney got them to sell him. He cost about $6500 if I remember right and that was a truckload of money at that time, but he was so well trained, he was worth it. I got to ride him when Courtney brought him to California before Trilby actually bought him and he was a joy to ride........mbOn 1/1/07, Rusty Toth <rusty@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
