Under some circumstances with family and/or friends
on a ride it may be funny, but at an endurance ride or on the trail with people
you don't know (and sometimes even with people you do know), believe me, it is
not funny to be standing waiting for your horse to get a drink & be splashed
with water & especially mud, and then the water be so muddied up that
your horse won't drink it anyway. And, as you * others have said, there's always
the risk of the sudden drop & roll.
