It's a pretty animated horse that can "splash you" by using his head. Obviously, she meant pawing. Not obviously; I have a horse that routinely splashes herself...and everybody around her...by throwing the water around with her head. However, I wouldn't let her do this at an endurance ride unless Ride Management had said that there was enough water to be used for scooping (such rides are few and far between out here), since when she does it she is capable of virtually emptying a full 150 gallon water trough so it only has about 6 inches of water left in the bottom. So, though it wouldn't muddy the water (water around here comes mostly in troughs that somebody has had to take a truck out to fill), it would be really uncool. However, if she wanted to play in a creek (or some other "infinite" water supply) this way, I would let her. kat Orange County, Calif. -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ . =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
