[RC] re convention report/AERC directions - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Stacy msmots13@xxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== Most of the newbies I know (me included)started doing endurance in their late 30s-40s. This is the first time in my life that I have had the time and money to ride endurance. (Have dreamed of it for years!). I think this is pretty common. I think if I added up the expenses this last year, I would faint dead away. This amount of money 15 years ago would have meant I could buy a house! I think the best way to inspire people into the sport is to wear those wonderful T-shirts (all of mine are depressingly new looking, can't wait until I have a bunch that look like I should be washing the car with them) and I think I have inspired a few people because they were wondering why I was so darn happy (I think they assumed it had something to do with a little purple pill...my husband has been getting a lot of high fives). Seriously, though, I think this sport is going to appeal to individuals that have the time and money to do it, and often this is not the case until kids are grown, house is paid off, etc. -Stacy =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
