[RC] Hey One Tonners (I mean your truck, not YOU) - Kristi SchaafHi to all of you not at convention...: - ( We currently pull our 3H 10' LQ trailer with an 4x4 F250 Powerstroke. Power-wise all's fine, and 'Blue' has served us well for 10 years, but after crossing Wolf Creek pass in southern CO a couple times last year, hubby said he really would like to have the bigger brakes of a 1 ton. Soo...even though we're still in the fantasy stage, we're hoping to get a 1 ton in the next year, probably a 4x2, and absolutely a diesel. Which leads me to my question. I know a few of the 'cons' of a dually (more tires, harder to find a parking spot), but for those of you who have hauled with both a dually and a regular 1 ton, do you feel it's worth those cons to have a dually? What we're looking for is a significant improvement in stability, safety and ride comfort (for horses and us). What say you, knowledgeable ones?
