Best to get a new one if there's any doubt. I'm on the permanent rotating Troxel replacement program - when one helmet takes a blow, I pull the reserve out of the closet and send the broken one back. Only thing is you have to send a "Dear Troxel" letter telling them what happened ;-) It's $30 + $5 shipping for my $80 helmet so it's worth it. Kristen Absolutely. Most helmets include some material that is designed to crush to absorb energy in a major impact; it does not spring back, once crushed it loses its ability to protect. And it's inside where you may not be able to see if it's crushed. -- Joe Long jlong@xxxxxxxx http://www.rnbw.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
