My husband refused to wear tights for a long time.  The insides of MY knees 
weren't hamburger, but his were.  Finally he tried a pair and now happily 
wears them.  And he has such GREAT legs, too.  The REAL reason he objected 
was that tights don't have pockets for his pocket knife that he refuses to 
go anywhere without.  We found somewhere else for him to carry it, and his 
knees are no longer raw.
