To answer that question----yes. I have seen
it happen. The horse finally stopped, and blood drawn from it was black
indicating a lack of oxygen. The most traumatic thing I have ever
witnessed - 1986. It took me years to even talk about it, and now, thank
goodness, this sport has developed safe guards against uncaring and criminal
riders.
