Re: [RC] getting old - Mary Ann Spencer

This just means LOTS of us are out there doing things our parents could never even imagine... We are so fortunate to have that opportunity....!!!!!!!!  Who would have ever imagined when we were in our teens that past the age of 50 we could actually complete fifty mile rides!!!!  Or actually ride a horse all day???  We are setting a precedence for generations to come.   The choice is getting older or not... which means we die... death can be the permanent state or the slow state of continued reduction in abilities.  Seems it is better to keep going and set new goals for the following generations to beat.

Now in addition to just trying to complete  the rides, the 'older' riders are in sufficient numbers to vie for who is the oldest rider... I don't have the stats but I would guess there are more and more 'older' riders every year.  Those baby boomers just won't let go............. happy trails to all...........

We had a rider on our ride today who I used to ride with when she was a junior and I rode with her and her sponsor.  She just turned 40;..
