RE: [RC] Short backed arabian ...need help - heidi

I have a really short backed arabian gelding. I am at the end of my rope... 
My equipedic pad ( barrel style ) has rubbed his back so much that a lot of 
his hair is gone in two spots right were the kidneys are.

So what can i use on him now ? I tryed everything.I really liked the feel of 
the Equipedic pad.  Does that mean i have to go to and english saddle ?  I 
had a broken tailbone and have to ride a treeless saddle. I ride a BM saddle 
, round skirt on him and we never had problems. I think the english version 
on the Equipedic pad would be too short ?

Can someone tell me what they use on there short backed arabs. ?


Doesn't sound like the problem is his short back--sounds like it is a
saddle that doesn't fit.

We use Wintec Pro Endurance saddles on our short-backed Arabs, with
Skito pads--with no problems.  And they are not "short" as
English-style saddles go.
