This is excellent advice.  I was widowed many years ago.  I've been 
married for almost 30 years now and I've been the one paying the bills 
this entire time.  I've been quite ill with a pesticide poisoning and my 
husband finally realized that, if anything happened to me, he didn't 
know how to pay the bills.  So for the past few months, I've been 
working with him and he's learned how to pay the bills that require 
checks, the ones that are paid over the phone, and how to pay bills 
on-line.  I know some women who have never paid a bill and this 
challenge would just add to the problems. I'm glad my husband realized 
this and asked me to show him what to do.
