Most houses are not sealed well enough that cooking with gas is a real problem. Most of the home CO problems come from small shacks with unvented gas heaters.

There is a big difference between cooking a meal and heating with gas. Also most LQ trailers are actually much more air tight than houses.

By the way, if a stove is operating properly (nice blue flame) and the total oxygen has not been depleted, there is very little CO produced.

Again there is a difference between cooking the meal, and going to sleep with the fire on.
