Re: [RC] Am I damaging my Batteries? - Truman PrevattYou have a box (switcher/converter) somewhere in your trailer that converts AC to DC to run your DC circuits. This also charges your battery. If this box is designed correctly and is working correctly it will not damage your batteries because it will act as a maintainer - rather than a charger.The same is true for solar controllers. The panels feed into the controller. The controller circuit only charges when it is necessary. If all the components are working correctly you should be fine. RV electrical systems are designed to be plugged in for long periods of time. If your batteries do not last as long as they should you should probably have the electronics checked out.
