[RC] ED -- RV/LQ Heaters? - RavenWith this setup I can run lights for a week and a furnace for 3 cold MN days. For those times when I need more power I have a Honda 2000E. They are spendy, but very quiet. If I run it DURING THE DAY Hi Ed...when your batteries start to wear down, you just run the generator during the day to re-charge them so you can use them at night to run your furnace? The reason I am asking so many questions, is that I am thinking of moving up from a small truck camper to a small (25') RV. What concerns me ...is that I do a ton of camping in early spring and into late fall. Since you lived in my neck of the woods before moving to MT, you know it's cold camping. In late October I went to Zumbro Bottoms, and it got down to 14 over nite...BRRRR! My current truck camper has a wonderful heater, does not require any batteries to run. It's a propane radiate heater. I love it! It was a toasty 60-62 all weekend in my camper, in spite of COLD temps outside. The RV that I am thinking of getting does have a 4K generator. Of course, I will not run it overnite. But I do need to stay somewhat warm due to medically reasons. I would love to install some sort of extra propane heater in the RV. One that does not require a generator or batteries to operate. Any ideas? Thanks!!
