I assume this is Laurie, but you did not sign your post. You were not there, I was. Michelle has no scratches no blood on her. We have pictures of Paula and clumps of her hair. The sheriff encouraged Paula to press charges because he beleived her side. She did not as she beleives the attacker is crazy and was afraid for her future safety. This does not need to be swept under the rug, Paula was physically attacked and there were no witnesses and this is totally unsportsmanlike behavior and it was 2am when the generator went on. Also her behavior was more like a street fighter than a 110 lb woman.

Shame on you Roxanne! How many times have things gone astray with ?He said, She said?. We could have gone without the blow by blow I am sure it is something both parties would like to forget. But since you have created a mob to stake out and burn the ?ATACKER? like the Salem witch hunts, I will repeat what I heard.

 

And since my husband Wade has had a personal verbal attack with expletives during the Lost Posse rides ?Controlled? start by Paula Blair. Paula kept yelling at him to move so she and her husband Jeff could go around. While they rode on single track and following to close to our mares butt at the same time. My husband finally turned around and warned her that the mare may kick, and that it was a controlled start and that she could not run over the ATV. I am leaning toward believing that the version I heard is how it took place. Because, Wade is a very-very laid back man, and everyone knows that about him. It takes a lot for him to return verbal artillery especially at a woman.

 

SO?.. The way I hear it was that around 3:30 a.m. the person staying with party #1 turned on a generator when he awoke to feed and check the blankets of the horses. Then he got some of the vet check items ready and saddles and tack arranged. This took some time and then he simply left the generator on SINCE IT WAS SO COLD. And I was also told that many others had them on all night as well. So, as I am told, Paula Blair began to yell and swear at the man, throw buckets and then pack up her stuff and move her camp.

 

Then while on the trail she ran up behind party #1 yelling expletives like some crazy person, embarrassing party # 1. So, after she finished taking care of her equine partner she approached Paula at her trailer in private (not yelling at the top of her lungs racing down the trail) and told her she did not appreciate her embarrassing her in front of fellow riders. That she was going on about some generator noise that she was not even responsible for in the first place. At this point, so I am told, Paula began to verbally assault the real attack victim, putting her finger in her face and backing her up. And then to her complete surprise, Paula put her hands on her and began to shove her. At this point Paula grabbed a hand full of ?the victims? hair, who by the way is a whole 110 pounds soaking wet and 5?3 on a good day. At this juncture she had no choice but to defend herself against Paula?s attack.

 

She continued to ask Paula to let go of her hair and stop. It took a gentleman separating Paula from her to stop the attack. And have it be known that the Police officer, So I am told, asked if she wanted to press assault charges against Paula. She simply stated that she just wanted to finish caring for her horse and go home. She was told that Paula had rider optioned prior to the incident and that she asked for the police escort because she was in fear of another altercation with party #1.   

 

So, now that you have heard the side I was told. And I believe that the Police talked to several witnesses and made their determinations prior to leaving or I am sure they would have given someone a ride in the patrol car.
