Re: [RC] [RC] Horse size....what gives?!?! - rides2farMy pet peeve is people who assume a short breeding horse is going to produce short babies. I think nature longs to hit the middle ground and hates extremes. It's funny, in my family there are 8 people. My dad is 5'4 my mom's 5'2. All four girls are below 5'1, the boys are 5'3 and 5'7. So, they produced greater height than their own one out of 6 times. So...what kind of guys are the females in my family attracted to? Well, my neice that was 4'10 (the shortest of us) married a guy who was 6'6". The other 4'11 neice married 6'2. My daughters are both 5'1 and are both dating 6'2 guys. With any luck, we'll pull our family line back towards the center. Unfortunately, my brothers couldn't handle the idea of taller wives. They both married shorter and have produced *even shorter*. My 5'7 brother's son is 5'4. He married a girl who's 5'2 and their children (both boys unfortunately) are tiny and will probably want shorter wives.
