Re: [RC] phonies - Lynne GlazerA friend who recently sold one of her ReactorPanel saddles told me yesterday that she got *50* different scam e-mails offering to buy it. And when she got an inquiry and started negotiating with one guy who happened to be a lawyer, she felt so suspicious that she "vetted" the guy through RP's mgmt to make sure he was "real" and ok to deal with; they'd known him F2F from his saddle search. Everyone ended up happy, but it sure raised my antennae about long distance sales. I've bought and sold a fair amount of camera stuff that way. Another scam I'm particularly subject to receiving is the "come shoot my wedding" or "come shoot my farm", I'll pay you a deposit first and then won't you refund the overpayment?Yep, just be careful.
