RE: [RC] How do you NOT act like a Newbie? - David LeBlancKat said: And the way to act like a newbie is to go around asking questions...of anybody, and to not worry about whether those people will think they are dumb questions from a newbie. Really good advice - there's a bunch of smart people who will tell you great information if you just ask, but who would watch you screwing up and not say a word if you didn't ask. It is MY goal to be a newbie (ie a learner) forever. This is why my favorite person to ride with is a woman with over 16,000 miles. I'll always be a newbie compared to her. It's a privilege to have 8 hours or so to pick her brain. There aren't many dumb questions - there's no shortage of dumb answers. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
