[RC] How do you NOT act like a Newbie? - k s swigartNote that I am not responding to the contents of any of these posts, but rather to the subject line. Because when I first read it was to think, "But, but, but....the best thing to do when you are a newbie is to act like one." And the way to act like a newbie is to go around asking questions...of anybody, and to not worry about whether those people will think they are dumb questions from a newbie. Personally, though I must confess to being guilty of it (and I need to hit myself over the head with a two0by-four, or somebody needs to do it for me if I am too ingnorant to recognize that that is what I am doing), I am of the opinion that what I need to be careful of is forgetting to act like a newbie. Because the instant I stop acting like a newbie who is willing to go around asking what seem like dumb questions of people who know more than me, is the instant I stop learning. It is MY goal to be a newbie (ie a learner) forever. kat Orange County, Calif. :) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
