[RC] Pain after rides/posture - Ranelle RubinHi Ridecampers!I did my first multi-day this weekend..2 days of 50"s..I really admire those of you who do 5 days! I don't really consider myself in shape, but not a slouch either...I do know last night when I made a Costco run, I did not want to get out of the massage chair! One thing I do know, is that posture does effect your horse more than you know! I have been riding in a FreeForm since August and love it. I played with the position of the stirrups a bit until I got them where I wanted them. Then I started moving the position of my feet in the stirrups and watched my HR monitor..when I feel like I am perfectly centered, heavy in the stirrups, light on his back, my horse's HR is at least 10 BPM lower! This weekend's Desert Gold ride had great footing, alot of sand, so lots of time to work on riding as well as possible..yipee! If you train with a HR monitor, try this..it is not only fun, you will learn alot!
