I may be totally wrong, but I have a vision of say 6 countries with their whole team qualified for the final race being essentially tied with total time and having gone quite slowly. The last day they all let everything hang out and the result is essentially what we have now.. Please note: I am just putting this possibility up for consideration. A series of rides may in fact change the way competitors look at the whole sport. I have also thought about the possibility of using a series of races, up to a month apart, with each race over different type of course. The problem with this is logistics, cost and universal applicability.
