I'd have been afraid to put them in a pen together for fear they'd come out of two different pens and didn't know each other. I've found that if you start yelling the number on the horse's butt it will penetrate the consiousness of the rider and they'll come claim them. By the way, nobody has ever had to catch one of my horses, however I did go to a folk festival, put up my dome tent and then go off to the dance only to return and find it missing. (it was very windy) The next morning I found it on the other side of the lake where someone had caught it and tied it to a tree. We named it "Tumbleweed" after that and never left it without sitting the cooler inside.Picture *that* rolling around a ridecamp!
