Title: RE: Sultan's Cup Terengganu
hell dear Nick
Yes, I don't have to forget my light!!!
Would you mean that we will not have ANY sunshine :-(
WIll be happy to see you there. Let's hope we got good horses
PS : it seems that they would have to get 40% completion to be considered as candidate for WEC2008. Do you know how many starters and how many proven 160Kms horses ?

Hi ,
Good to know both you chaps coming to our Sultan's Cup on the 25 th
.See
you guys over there .My horses ,Kun and Jogho will be moving down on the
19th ,entered for the 80 km and 160 km respectively .People will be
watching
this ride .Can be a difficult ride with the tropical storm looming
overhead
as typical of this time of the year .Just hope the lightning and thunder
will be minimal ,never mind the downpour .
An avid reader from Australia,Njuro ,of our local equestrian website,
equestrian.com.my , recently wrote in to inquire about WEC 2008 ,and in
the
process provided info that discussion of possible shift of venue to
Newmarket,GB was rife amongst fellow competitors and officials at the
recent WEG ,especially amongst the Europeans .This could well be rumours
or
it could well be true but I responded " that there is some beauty to be
had
to see for once a WEC being won and lost at an average speed of around
15
kph .And if despite all the cajoling ,coaxing and freebies insentives
that
are on offer ,and if still we are not able to persuade some people to
change their skewed views of what endurance is all about, then we would
rather be philosophical and accept that this would not be Malaysia's
loss
but theirs ".
See you guys in wet wet Terengganu .
Nik
PS: Yes Leonard ,you would need the raincoat this time ,though riding in
the
rain is bliss!
