RE: [RC] [RC] - Christy Adame

I received a similar e-mail dated 11/10, that asks if I've received payment for the laptop I purchased on e-bay. The ebay seller's profile says they are located in China, & is an unregistered user! I would have missed it if I didn't check my spam filter...

What is alarming to us is that we have recently had an "encounter" with some cc theft (over $600) that took 3 weeks to clear up. Thankfully I save all my receipts & I try to do all transactions on the phone or in person...still, somehow the "individuals" were able to purchase items in Gibraltar & England. We turned everything over to Visa, but haven't heard back on how the people got our info.

If you go to ebay's fraud pages, they have an e-mail address to forward the bogus e-mail to.

Learning my lesson I've already been through the fraudulent e-mail thing on ebay (about a yr ago) & it has totally turned me away from anything that site has to sell!

Warning Ridecamp!  I received an e-mail PayPal last night confirming my
order for $699.00.  I have never bought anything from PayPal.  If you
click on 'Cancel Transaction', it askes for your PayPal password or
wants you to create one, which includes your e-mail address.  I am
deleting the e-mail and reporting it as spam.  The "TO" in the e-mail
came from Ridecamp.  Did anyone else receive such an e-mail?
