Re: [RC] LD/50 racing vs none racing times - Diane TrefethenKim is right. There are too many variables to specify an ideal time for a ride's completion. Angie's advice to focus on your conditioning times is a better guide. If you check the RC archives you will find a wealth of information on conditioning protocols.Since you generally condition on the same trails, you know what conditions on that trail are "average". As you build your horse's base, you can see how his times improve on that trail. Then when you go to a ride, you ride to your horse's conditioning, not to what is "average" or "ideal". =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
