[RC] RC] hay question - Robert R - Barb PeckThis depends on what part of the country you're in (nighttime humidity) and what kind of grass it is and how many times has it been cut already. If it's first cut - it's probably standingdry.... so go for it.... if it['s 2nd or 3rd cut then it's going to take longer to dry.. Also - Late 2nd cut around here (Vermont) will have a pretty high sugar (NSC) content- if that matters to you. If you had 4 days of windy weather, sunny and 50 degrees *without high humidity ( NO fog and or frost)* then you could probably do it.... Barb ________________________________________________________________________________________ RC] hay question from - Robert R 'm kind of shotgunning this question out to several groups hoping to get some feedback tonight. I have 10 more acres to cut. The weather is turning cooler but we have dry forecasted for some time. Highs in the upper 40s tomorrow, then on up into 50s for several days with lows in the low to mid 30s. Will hay make alright in these conditions (it is supposed to be windy so that will help with drying). None of it is very thick. How long will drying take, would you guess, for putting up in square bales. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
