Re: [RC] [RC] OT Horse Slaughter- mixing issues/ ready for an easy 50? - Barbara McCrary

My cat surely doesn't think twice about killing a bird if she can catch it.  And she doesn't even eat it; she presents it at the door as a gift to me.  She also caught a bat from under the shakes of our roof, but it was still alive, so I picked it up with a pick-up tool and placed it back on the roof, where I hope it may survive.

Nature was designed with the plan of one animal eating another.  It just depends on where one is on the food chain.  And someone mentioned that humans are the only ones who think about it and feel guilty.  I guess that does set us apart from most animals, but I doubt any predator feels guilty about killing its prey, only satisfied it will not be hungry that day.

Doesn?t most life exist at the expense of some other living thing. It?s just that humans are the only ones (that I?m aware of)that actually think about it.

why do we always have to benefit at the expense of the other living things and the environment?
