RE: [RC] FEI rule against owners in crewing area - Steph TeeterJust to clarify this - it is all about the credentials and what credentials (passes) are accepted into the crewing area. Certain credentials allow access to certain areas - Owner Credentials do not allow access to crewing area but probably allow access to other areas (stadium, stables, etc). They are limiting crewing area to Rider and 2 others per horse (probably Groom Credentials). The problem has been that the Federations always try to get as many passes - credentials - as possible so they can have as large a support group as possible. So if the groom was also an owner they could let somebody else get a 'groom' credential, and they could get an owner credential - cause 2 credentials are better than one... but the OC has been (so far) very sticky about credentials - trying very hard to keep crowds, traffic, etc to a minimum. ...it all seems very complicated!
