[RC] Call it endurance? Diane's post - Stacy BaxterWell, last year I admit I was on the LD band wagon. More than anything, I wanted consistancy from LD ride to LD ride. Since then, I have actually changed my opinion due to thoughtful posts such as Diane's. As a newcomer last year, I thought "fresh" opinions were needed. Really what I needed was a little more history, and a little more time in the saddle actually DOING endurance. Diane, your post was very well stated. Let me add that one of the arguments that swayed me was that endurance was defined on the physiologic response of the horse AFTER 25-30 miles. At this point is where ENDURANCE horses are created. (Someone else can jump in here and explain this better than I can). So glad Ridecamp is available to learn and grow from. (and chuckle and swear at) -Stacy
