Do I want to be on the trail with individuals who might consider me an obstacle to over come or a burden to bear? What if I made a mistake? A tactical error? A trail etiquette faux pa? Me thinks someone would say "off with her head". If I were to do a 100, I would hope that the "spirit of the sport" would be better than the spirit of cyberspace seen here. As one of those "testy" folks, let me assure you that out on that 100-mile trail you will find all of the support, encouragement and camaraderie that you could ever hope for. Yep, some of us (moi?) will argue over just about anything ... sometimes passionately. And we'll be there for anyone on the trail who needs help, or just an encouraging word. -- Joe Long jlong@xxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.chiprider.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
