[RC] Tevis//Crandall/Solis - rides2farBIG congratulations to John Crandall....He and Heraldic won the Old Dominion, The Old Dominion Trophy (their BC) and the Tevis in one year!!! To those who think they need a zillion miles before they consider inching up to a 100, check his record. 2 25's, 3 50's, and 4 100's (1 DNF) for a total of 450 miles coming into this. Heraldic is by the Asgard stallion Statistic, so this should be a great comfort to those who get sick of endurance folks acting like it's all a crap shoot. These guys are turning out some very successful endurance bred horses! Also, BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Suzanne Solis, from Georgia who finished on her first attempt! We'll never be able to live with her now! When Suzanne tried to lease that horse, Cayenne, she gave them my name as a personal reference. I told them I'd seen her happy and eating a double cheeseburger and fries at the 88 mile mark of Biltmore and I guess that was a good enough reference. Looks like she got a darned good mount! I'm afraid we won't be able to keep her from commuting to western rides now.
