I agree with what Truman is saying about todays NC being preferable to
years past. If AERC is to continue having a NC the current format is fine. A ROC
should be seperate from AERC like it had been. That way AERC can crown it's
champs whichever way the membership prefers (as it is now or as end of season
points or whatever). But to have a ROC, to be qualified for as Kim is
suggesting, would celebrate the 100 mile horse. And, of course, the winner would
be special too. That might be encouragement for some folks to take that 100 mile
plunge.
