RE: [RC] husbands and helmets - Mark H LacyI, as a husband who loves to ride with his wife, insist on wearing a helmet. I always say, "If you got a $10 head, wear a $10 helmet, if you don't value it, don't wear one". I know some will take offense at that, but I feel that falling on your head is simply the best way to kill yourself or worse, become incapacitated in some other way. Just my opinion. Mark H. My husband won't wear anything on his head when he rides -so I frown at him and make him ride my mom's steady mare. Roderick and I both used to be very casual about wearing helmets, even while jumping (ack! I know!!) Then we became parents, and since then neither of us will so much as put a foot in a stirrup without helmets. We're both self-employed and Jaime needs us too damn much to let ego or comfort interfere.
