Re: [RC] Fwd: Dogs on Horseback? - Linda S. FlemmerWhen I fox hunt, I see folks with small leather pommel bags carried on the front of the saddle & breast collar. The dogs hop up happily from the ground to the rider on a 17H horse! I've seen the same thing for "training" and cubbing made up as a pouch in cordura nylon. I've also seen a few that happily balanced on the neck... In front by the withers offers less bouncing. If she isn't attached to you, you won't land on her. However, if she is attached to the horse, she may be "going on a ride" without you if you get dumped! Has anyone ever seen or made some kind of saddle attachment to carry a small dog behind the saddle? SNIP I would love some kind of saddle attachment so that, when necessary, I could put her behind me on the horse - but I don't want her attached to me in anyway because if I come off, I don't want to land on her. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
