Re: [RC] re: ATV use in forest - Cindy CollinsRather than keep repeating myself to individuals, I'll just paste in a couple of my answers to Annie: Something else to remember: I worked with hundreds of ATV/motorcycle folks in So CA. Every time they tried to compromise or be reasonable, they lost everything and got their teeth kicked in. Very much like you are feeling, many of the decided to always publicly take a hard line stand, in the hopes of coming out with something left. They mostly lost everything and now the same is happening to horse people, AND some of them who are rightly bitter are laughing at us because it's our turn. CC There's always an ass in every group...including all of ours. I think you should continue to be above the anger and continue to negotiate with the land agencies folks and also try to find some ATV/motorcycle folks that you can use as allies. I suggest you contact the Blue Ribbon Coalition and emphasize your desire to work cooperatively and ask for their assistance. They have helped several horse groups in the past. Please feel free to drop Keith and Cindy Collins as people who recommended you contact them.
