Re: [RC] re: ATV use in forest - Steven ProeHi Folks: If the horseman were to do this "Sharing of the existing trails we the horse community and the hiking community will loose-out.At this present time we are first status "Stakeholders" any new group that has a desire to use the existing trails will be causing a "Conflict with the existing user groups/Stakeholders". My suggestion is that if we assist any new user group/s, that we encourage the expansion of Public/Federal/State lands and make sure that the new user groups have the regulatory agency create addition trails to accommodate the Nw User Groups. Not to share them unless, the proposed trails are wide enough with significant site distances so that either group will not be able to create a "Surprise Incident". There is also the issue of the type of decay and erosion that is a result of bike usage, that causes a narrow deep continuance that can cause injury to our partners and ourselves if we have to walk though these ruts created by the bikes and erosion. Again just my opinion based on my personal experiences. The only way we can save trails is to work with other groups - all other groups.
