[RC] re: biothane headstalls and tack - Willowmere Farm ArabiansJen, I use beta w/biothane overlay for my bridles, reins, martingales, and breastcollars. I swear by them! The beta is soft against my horse and on my hands (reins) although I wear gloves, and they wash and wear soooooo easily! I wouldn't use anything else. In fact, when schooling at home, I use the martingale most of the time, and often use the entire setup I have for x-country courses and pair paces, and sometimes even jumper classes. The care is super easy, and I've never had a problem with a horse. I've gotten mine from http://www.hought.com/ and will call and talk to Gail to tell her what I need/want before ordering, to make sure it fits. (And I'm picky about colors and how I want it to fit, what buckles, etc.) You can also get some awesome tack from Moss Rock Endurance http://www.mossrockendurance.com/mrea/ - Lisa is super cool and will help you with any questions you have. I would never go back to leather for endurance - not with as much sweat, dirt, water, mud, etc. that you can go through. :) (And I so love taking 5 minutes to clean ALL of my tack!) Hope this helps!
