[RC] Fw: Update on Middletown Arabians - Jo Ann Knight

This is an FYI and is not endurance related, but is horse rescue related and
a lot of people had heard about this through posts I made to the digest
before I went back on email. 

OK, I am sending this on to ridecamp because of the many people who emailed
me for information, what little I could give.  I fave out other email etc.. 
So this updates the issue with these horses and provides additonal
information regarding adoption and who not to contact and who you can contac

The Horse are all gone from Middletown and are safe here in Sonoma County.




Yesterday a group of volunteers were able to round up and bring back 
to Sonoma County every single horse. DO NOT contact Theresa about 
any of these horses as of today. DO NOT make any donations to her or 
the feed store in Middletown. 

The horses are being held in Foster Care and will be up for adoption 
in approx. 1-2 weeks. They will be photo'd, evaluated by vets and 
trainers for handling. Once this is done, the photo's will be posted 
for viewing and possible adoption. The goal is to break the cycle and 
not use these guys for anymore breeding. We want good homes as pets 
or showing only. 

Many volunteer have dished out a lot of time and money to help these 
horses. There is a FUND RAISER / Donation set up with a checking 
account through PENNGROVE Hay and Grain 707-795-5712. The owner has 
agreed to sell hay at cost for the temp. care of these horses while in 
Foster Care. Remember there are Over 40 to feed, so please any 
little bit helps, even to buy just one bale of hay or one bag of > grain. 

On approx. July 25th Check out the web site ENVIROMIN.COM and view 
these horses. Please no more phone calls to the volunteers, they are 
overwhelmed and still need to focus on there personal jobs which have 
been put aside.
