[RC] Feeding during conditioning - Kathy RamspottWhen you all were doing LSD conditioning during first or second season did you change your horses diet much? Once we hit rides over 5 miles I started feeding more grain, (omolene 100 with a little strategy) is this bad? They are both in good shape not too thin or fat, arabian mare (9yo) and arabian gelding (5yo). During this 90+ degree season in the SE should I be feeding beet pulp instead of grain? I'm only riding every other day. They are pastured 24x7 and have grass/weedy pastures with hay in the run in manger at all times. All this talk about beet pulp and feed has me wondering if I'm doing whats best for my 'kids' Thanks, Kathy R - SE =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
