[RC] Horse Branding - Karen EverhartI may be naive' but I have had a number of my horses freeze marked (and it happened to be by Kryo Kinetics) and have felt a sense of calm knowing that I could pick them out of a herd of auction horses fairly easily. I also like that I can report to the authorities identifying marks that cannot "come off" my horse like a braided-in ID tag or something like that - which is often recommended as an identification tool.I do believe that the animal ID program is coming, there won't be a thing anyone of us can do about it except perhaps influence what it looks like! I may have to chip my horses but that is not going to happen for at least a few years - unless Kansas becomes an alpha site - so I want something in place now. Karen Everhart MEd.
