I would have said the finish rate is more like 35%, from my past observations.

It's those darn Widows getting rid of the guys or gals buckles
 Jack Rhoades the one responsible for getting me into Endurance in the 80's
 found a total of 4 Old style Tevis Buckles at local Hock shops in Auburn
and Sacramento, collected in  1985.

I'll sell you a buckle only if you can guarantee a Finish , but you know
that may not happen its 50% any year and day . Best way to do Tevis is go
there and say you are going to Finish. And it will happen. Best of luck
